Eric joined the United States Navy and became a Seabea.  The Navy Seabees (CB's) or construction battallions, build and fight (per their motto) for freedom and rights around the world.  While working with Naval Mobile Construction Battallion 74 Eric lead, planned, and executed the construction of several projects, some with a budget of upwards of $400k. He helped to construct Forward Operating Bases, Camp Natasha, Camp Krutke, and Camp Leatherneck in the Hellmand province of Afghanistan.  In Spain, he laid the foundation for and paved much needed roads for transportation and functionality.  While in Dakar, Senegal on the western coast of Africa, Eric restored and rebuilt the Operations Center for the Senegalese Marines (Navy).  At Andros Island in the Bahammas, he and a team of Seabees erected a one hundred by eighty foot pre-engineered building and Eric took lead on the laying of over 5,000 square feet of Concrete Masonry Units (CMU) and in the design and erection of the concrete form construction for the rafter ties.  Eric has received scores in the top 99th percentile on all of his advancement axams and was recommended for early promotions on a consistent basis.

Eric was one of the hardest working and most knowledgeable construction professionals that I have ever had the privilege to work with. He was just about the youngest person on the whole construction site and everyone including his supervisors came to him for advice and strategy for completing the job at hand. If anyone is looking for an extremely knowledgeable, yet humble professional for your team look no further than Eric Maldonado.
