-  BUCN Maldonado is my #1 Constructionman of the 6 in Detail Senegal!  His depth of knowledge, skill, and positive attitude is instrumental to the success of the mission.

-  Valued Crew member.  During the Fuel Truck Access Project, he assisted in the excavation of 82 CDs of earth and placement of 40 CDs of fill, achieving 115% compaction rate for the strategic placement of 1,023 turf stones.  His work directly contributed to the project's success, earning a Bravo Zulu from the base's Field Engineering Acquisitions Department.

-  Subject Matter Expert.  Hand selected to teach concrete masonry fundamentals to Bravo Company's CMU Crew, enabling the safe and effective construction of two Bus Stops.

-  Superior Performer.  As crew member of the Central Tool Room Renovation Project, he enhanced the construction of a 12' x 18' build out that included rough framing and installation of a door, drywall, drop ceiling, and floor tiles.  His energetic work efforts allowed the client to take possession of the new space five days ahead of schedule.

-  Fitness Focused.  As Assistant Command Fitness Leader he assisted in the administering of seven Physical Fitness Assessment tests to three different Battalion Companies.

-  Constructionman Maldonado continuously pursues the most arduous assignments and succeeds.  He is already performing at the Third Class Petty Officer Level!  Promote to Petty Officer!

-  Motivated, resourceful, and versatile, BUCN Maldonado is a rising superstar within the battalion.  His multi-talented construction skills greatly exceed his paygrade.

-Builder Prodigy.  Assigned as crew member with Detachment Andros Island on a 9,372 sq ft $450K AUTEC PEB (Pre-Engineered Building).  Instrumental in the crew's placement of 37.5 tons of reinforcing steel, core filling 20 CDs (cubic yards) of grout by bucket for 5,120 sq ft of CMU (Concrete Masonry Units), and overhead placement of 24 CDs of tie-beam header.  His "Can Do" attitude directly contributed to the crew earning 1383 man days over a 44 day duration.

-  Advanced Technical Skills.  BUCN was the ultimate driving force on the meticulous placement of 4,320 split faced CMU block.  He was one of only two Seabees of the 30 man detachment to attain CMU Placement skill 1 & 2 in the Seabee Skill Assessment Program.

-  Motivated Team Player.  Handpicked to serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for a block project and erection of a heavy timber observation tower at Camp Shelby's Seabee Land during the Battalion's FTX (Field Training Exercise), earning his second Commanding Officer's Coin in this reporting period.

-Constructionman Maldonado's performance is distinguished by pride and professionalism.  He is among the best Constructionman in the Battalion.  Ready for PO3 now!

Construction Apprentice Maldonado is a highly skilled and motivated Seabee whose technical knowledge and skills make him an exceptional addition to Charlie Company.  Displays unique problem solving capability and completes the most challenging tasks with no supervision.

- Indispensable Crew Member.  Performed superbly as Charlie Company Project crew member during the Battalion's camp relocation.  Expertly assisted in the construction of four 20' x 32' SWA (South West Asia) huts for Supply, Medical, Communications, and Alfa Company CP's, drastically improving working conditions and each department's ability to effectively and efficiently carry out daily operations.

- Demonstrated Leadership.  Outstanding performance as Charlie Company project safety PO (Petty Officer), a position normally held by a more senior Petty Officer.  His ability to rise to the occasion to enforce safety standards and require all crew members to follow established practices provided safe working conditions for five projects and resulted in zero safety infractions and no lost time due to mishaps.

-  BUCA Maldonado is enthusiastic, diligent and reliable.  Dedicated to mission accomplishment and the Navy's Core Values.  Possesses excellent potential to develop into a top-notch leader in the NCF (Naval Construction Force) and is highly recommended for promotion and retention.
